About TravelM: My Journey
Hey, Iām Maya, the face behind TravelM ā a travel business built from my love for adventure, connection, and creating a life that blends freedom with purpose.
Travel has always been part of my story. I was born in Cairo, Egypt, and raised in Sharm El Sheikh, surrounded by the Red Sea, sunshine, and the world of scuba diving ā thanks to my parents, who ran their own diving company. The sea shaped who I am: curious, bold, and always ready to dive headfirst into new experiences.
The Face Behind TravelM
Purpose and Authenticity
That same passion for creating and exploring inspired me to start TravelM ā a place where I share my travels, lifestyle, and behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram and TikTok. My goal isnāt to āescapeā a 9-to-5 or sell a dream that feels fake. Itās to celebrate balance ā building a career I love in architecture while creating a travel business that lets me connect with others, share experiences, and help people plan unforgettable holidays, especially scuba-diving adventures that remind me of home.
Life has taken me from Egypt to Poland, Scotland to England, and now often to Italy, where my boyfriend lives (yes, I met him in Barcelona, during one of my best trips ā the best stories always start that way!). Every new place and person has added another layer to who I am ā and thatās exactly what I bring to TravelM: authenticity, warmth, and a touch of adventure.
TravelM isnāt just a business ā itās a reflection of my journey. Iāve worked hard since I was 15, learned from every challenge, and turned my love for travel into something meaningful. Through my content and work as a travel agent, I want to show others that you can build a life youāre proud of, one thatās uniquely yours, without losing the joy of the journey.
Ā
So welcome to TravelM ā where real stories, authentic travel, and personal growth meet. Letās create your next adventure together.
Today, Iām 21, living in Manchester, and working as an Architectural Technology Assistant after years of hard work and dedication. My journey into architecture has been incredible ā from studying and networking at university to finally landing my dream placement in the city I always wanted to live in. Iām proud of how far Iāve come, juggling studies, work, and business while staying grateful for every step that got me here.
A Story of Resilience
After the 2011 revolution, my family moved to Poland, where I learned a new language and culture before we eventually settled in Scotland. From Broxburn to Banchory, I grew up embracing change, working as a waitress, saving for my travels, and building confidence talking to people from all walks of life.
